The Peter Marsh Award 2007

Last Years Winner Gemma Welch

District Judge Peter Marsh sat at Birmingham Civil Justice Centre and also as a Recorder on the Midland Circuit. He was also a good friend of the Institute of Legal Executives . Many of our members benefited from his advice and encouragement and his enthusiasm for the law. You may recall that, tragically he died in 2001 at the age of 59.

In 2002, with the support of his widow, Hilary, the ILEX Birmingham & District Branch created a student award in his memory. The 'Peter Marsh Award'; is now an annual award to be granted each year to a student who has shown great effort, commitment and enthusiasm for the Legal Executive course. This does not necessarily mean exam success but a willingness to learn and to pursue his or her studies to become a Legal Executive.

This prestigious Award is granted to a student who has shown great effort, commitment and enthusiasm while undertaking their ILEX studies.
